I have done 7 barefoot runs over 1 hour.
I am noticing my arches are rising, and feet are getting stronger.
Running cold temperatures under -10C have de-sensitized my toes.
I would not recommend running barefoot in the cold, if you are not prepared suffer through the agonizing burn you experience as your toes come back to life.
Looking forward to spring conditions for running.
The Vibrum 5 fingers are performing well. I see how running with a high heal can cause injury to tendons.
When running barefoot I noticed I now get a full range of motion out of my achillies tendon. Running in conventional shoes limits the range of motion, the stretch starts higher up my leg.
Running barefoot... the tendon stretches from the base of my heal. Running Barefoot gives me confidence my achillies tendon is long and strong pulling from the base of my heal not half way up my leg.
Last weekend I completed my longest continuous work of the year. I cross country skied for 4:30hs.
